LAWRY'S® ORIGINAL STYLE SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Makes: 5 (1/2-cup) servings.

Ingredients

1 package Lawry's® Original Style Spaghetti Sauce Spices & Seasonings

2 1/4 cups water

1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste*

1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil

1 teaspoon sugar or to taste (optional)

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients except sugar in 2-quart saucepan until well blended.

2. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sugar if a sweeter taste is desired.

*Substitution Tip: Use 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce in place of the tomato paste. Decrease water to 1 cup.

Meat Sauce: Prepare as directed, adding 1/2 pound cooked ground beef, crumbled Italian sausage or meatballs with ingredients in saucepan in Step 1.
