1. Mix all ingredients in 1-quart saucepan until well blended.
2. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meat Sauce: Prepare as directed, adding 1/2 pound cooked ground beef, crumbled Italian sausage or meatballs with ingredients in saucepan in Step 1.
Red Wine Sauce: Prepare as directed, adding 2 tablespoons dry red wine with ingredients in saucepan in Step 1.
